Pirate Decorations: How to Add a Touch of Pirate Fun to Your Home

Pirate Decorations:

Ahoy, matey! If you're looking for a way to add a touch of pirate fun to your home, you've come to the right place. Pirate decorations are a great way to get into the spirit of things, and they're perfect for any occasion, especially party decorations. Whether you're throwing a pirate-themed party and need pirate party supplies, or just want to add a little bit of personality to your home, these decorations are sure to please.

One of the best things about pirate decorations is that they're relatively easy to come by. You can find all sorts of pirate-themed items at your local Party City or check out our favorite local artisan market at Etsy.

In this blog post, we'll discuss some of the best ways to decorate your home with pirates in mind. So grab your eyepatch and peg leg and let's get started!

Pirate DoorFotos

DoorFotos are a unique, simple way to customize your exterior and interior doors with fabric door covers. They take less than 28-seconds to install, so they make decorating really, really easy and alot of fun since you can put any image on a DoorFoto. Some of our favorite designs we have on our website are the pirate-themed ones because they are so stinking cool! Since DoorFoto was born in Tampa, FL, we know a thing or two about pirates in that we host the Gasparilla parade every year right in our city!

Some quick history on Gasparilla- In the late 1800s, a group of men calling themselves Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla pretended to be a band of pirates led by Jose Gaspar, a mythical Spanish pirate captain. The group held an annual parade and invasion in Tampa which became so popular that it turned into the largest pirate festival in the United States!

The best part is? You do not have to be from Tampa, nor be in Tampa to celebrate your love of pirates!

If you go to www.thedoorfoto.com and type in "Pirate", a list of 76 different pirate designs is there for you to choose from. We have designs that are realistic or cartooney, and scary or not-so-scary, so you are sure to find one that fits your style!

Outdoor Pirate Decor

When it comes to pirate décor, nothing beats the atmosphere of decorating outdoors. Whether you're hosting a pirate-themed party or just want to bring a bit of that swashbuckling spirit into your backyard during the Gasparilla events, there are endless possibilities for outdoor pirate decorations. You can start by draping salvaged fabric or old sails in tangled, gothic-looking shapes around your patio to give it an air of mystery and intrigue. If you'd like something with a bit more pizzazz, try hanging ornate cutout shapes from your trees or the side of your house to create dazzling silhouettes in the moonlight. And no pirate-themed space would be complete without some well-placed skull and crossbone flags, whether they're waving flamboyantly in the wind or hanging proudly from sturdy poles.

Outdoor pirate decor

From inflatable parrots and flamingos to life-size skeletons and intricately carved signs, there is something for every taste and budget. Whether you prefer a refined seaside style or a more over-the-top, gaudy look, there are plenty of fun ways to add a little pirate flair to your outdoor living space. So gather your gold doubloons and get ready to deck out your garden with some really swashbuckling additions! After all, what's better than having a backyard that feels like it's straight out of the Caribbean? Arghhh mateys! Who's ready for plunderin' this summer? ;)
