Make your Child’s Birthday Fun – Even During the Stay In

Don’t let the pandemic act as a damper on your child’s birthday. Your child deserves a celebration on this extraordinary occasion. It’s true that you can’t host a birthday party outdoors, but there is plenty you can do to celebrate this special day. Here are some tips to make this day special – despite the restrictions we face today.

The guest list

You won’t be allowed to organize a big party, but you can still make the day unique by sending out invites to everyone at home, and few family members you would like to have over. Let them know the date and venue (for example, the kitchen, or living room). An invitation is a sure way to build on the excitement – you can send an invite to the birthday girl/boy and let them know that there will be a party in their honor. If you are planning a costume party, ensure you give your guests advance notice.

Party games

Organize easy indoor party games that don’t require much preparation but will add to the fun of the day. Some excellent indoor party games include freeze dance, balloon stomp, treasure hunt, and Beanbag toss.

Decorations

Add color and bring in the excitement with decorations. Think balloons, banners, confetti, party blowers, streamers, wall decorations, full-sized fun door decorations, and centerpieces.

Party Food

Don’t stress about a birthday cake and party food. Since this will be a small party of close family members, you can even prepare the entire menu at home. Some easy party food ideas include chocolate dipped fruit cones, pizza pinwheels or mini pizzas, raspberry trifle cupcakes, healthy hot dogs with rainbow vegetables, and colorful pretzel wants, plus a themed birthday cake.

Music

No party is complete without music. The internet provides you with a wide range of party music. If you are hosting a themed party, you can choose music that matches the theme. The idea is to ensure it is enjoyable – especially for the birthday child. Finally, sit back, enjoy yourself, and take part in the fun and excitement.
