Fun and Festive Snowman Door Decorations

Snowman Door Decorations

Do you love the winter season? If so, you're probably looking for ways to decorate your home festively. One great way to do that is by using a snowman. These are simple to make and can really add some holiday cheer to your home. In this blog post, we will give you some inspiration for your snowman door decor!

DIY is always a win

The cool thing about decorating your door is that you do not literally have to decorate it for it to look festive. You can always place or hang fun, festive items around your door to make it fit the theme of whatever you are decorating for! Keep reading below to see some DIY snowman ideas for your door decor!

One of the easiest ways to create a snowman door decoration is by using a cardboard box. Cut the box into the shape of a snowman and then paint it white. You can also add some features to your snowman, such as coal eyes and a carrot nose. If you want, you can also use ribbon or construction paper to create a scarf and hat for your snowman.

Another idea to create a snowman door decoration is by using Styrofoam balls. You can either purchase a pack of Styrofoam balls or use some that you have lying around the house. To create the body of the snowman, stack three balls together and then add two more balls on top for the head. Use an old newspaper or a piece of cardboard to create the hat and then attach it to the head with some glue or tape. You can also use black construction paper to create coal eyes and a carrot nose.

Another DIY snowman decoration you can make is with a paper bag. Cut the bottom off of the paper bag and then cut the bag in half so that you have two long pieces. Roll each piece of the paper bag into a cone shape and then tape or glue them together to form the body of the snowman. Use a black marker to draw on the eyes, the nose, and the mouth. You can also use a piece of ribbon or construction paper to create a scarf and hat for your snowman.

If you're looking for a really easy way to make a snowman door decoration, you can make a plastic cup snowman. All you need is a few plastic cups, some paint, and some stickers. Paint the cups white and then let them dry. Once they are dry, add on any stickers that you want to create the facial features of your snowman. You can also use black construction paper to create coal eyes and a carrot nose. And just like that, you have a plastic cup snowman!

The best part about all of these decorations above is that you made them yourself! You can do as little or as much in-depth customization with each of these projects to make them your own. And then imagine how cute any/all of them will look displayed on, or next to your door!

Snowman Fabric Door Covers

Keep in mind, DoorFotos are not only for your front door. We have multiple sizes for you to choose from in case you have a bigger door or if you want to hang your DoorFoto on an inside door!

Wreaths

Another fun idea is to use a wreath for your door. You can either purchase a pre-made wreath or make one yourself using some artificial branches and berries. Over the winter season, stores sell tons of festive wreaths, so you are sure to find designs that you love for your door!

But, if you want to make your own wreath, you can start by using a Styrofoam wreath form. Cut some artificial branches to the desired length and then hot glue them around the wreath form. You can either leave it as is or add some fake berries to the branches. Once the glue has dried, you can then add one big snowman to the middle of it, or add multiple tiny snowmen all around the wreath! Then, all you have to do is hang it on your door.

Add some lights to your door frame or front yard

If you're looking for a way to make your snowman decorations really stand out, add some lights to your door frame! In fact, if you go shopping during the winter months, you will probably find some snowman lights to hang up on or around the door! Or try out an inflatable lighted snowman that you can find at Target, HomeDepot or Amazon.

You can either use battery-operated lights or plug-in lights. If you're using battery-operated lights, all you need to do is stick the light up against the door frame and then put the batteries in. If you're using plug-in lights, you will need to find an outlet near your door and then run the cord inside.

Once the lights are set up, it will be easy to switch them on and off each time you open and close your door!

Use a snowman sign

If you want to use a snowman sign for your door, all you need to do is find one that you like! You can either purchase a pre-made one or make your own. Etsy is a great place to find handmade signs and you will be supporting the local artisan markets.

For a pre-made one, all you need to do is post it up on or near your door.

If you want to make your own, you can start by using a piece of cardboard, plastic, or wooden board. Cut out the shape of a snowman and then paint it white. Once the paint is dry, you can add any details that you want, such as black eyes, a carrot nose, and coal buttons. You can also add the words "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas" if you want. Once it's finished, you can post it up or around your door!

Add some pillows to your front porch couch

If you don't want to go through the trouble of making an actual snowman door decoration, you can always add some pillows to your front porch couch. This will give your porch a festive and wintery feel during the winter months!

There are so many festive pillows that are on sale over the wintertime, so you can find some cute snowman designs for sure.

To kick it up a notch, but still keep your decorating simple, we recommend going to www.thedoorfoto.com and finding a snowman DoorFoto that your pillows will compliment!
